Is the core really free?
Yes. AGPL-3.0 means you can self-host the full core without paying anything. See Open Source for what this license means for you.
Can I migrate from NiceLabel?
We import .misx and .nlbl formats. The import report tells you honestly what was carried over and what was annotated. Complex features like PowerForms cannot be auto-mapped.
Do I need to open firewall ports for the Runner?
No. Runners connect outward only. No inbound rule is ever needed.
What printers are supported?
Any ZPL-compatible thermal printer. The renderer produces ZPL natively — no driver installation needed on the print server.
