Updating
Download the new release ZIP, stop the service, replace binaries, start again. Version policy is N-2: you can be two versions behind without losing compatibility.
Backup
Your backup target is simple:
- Data directory — contains the SQLite database, uploaded labels, flow definitions and the archive.
- Encryption key(s) — if you use credential references (
cred://), the key that decrypts them lives outside the data directory.
The two sentences about loss: Without the data directory, you lose every label definition, flow configuration, archive entry and audit trail. Without the encryption key, every stored credential reference becomes unreadable — permanently.
